JAMMU, Dec 24: Delhi Public School Jammu hosted a highly engaging Awareness and Interactive Session on Career Counselling, aimed at guiding students about emerging career opportunities in fields like Art, Craft, Fashion, Communication, Graphics, Designing, Animation, and more, with a focus on the intersection of creativity and technology.
The session began with a welcome address by Vice Principal, Ms. Meenu Gupta, who emphasized the importance of exploring unconventional career paths. She encouraged students to consider emerging fields that align with their passions and interests.
Renowned professionals from NIFT Srinagar, including Dr. Yaseer A. Mir and Mr. Syed Azher, delivered insightful talks on career opportunities in wearable technology, AI in fashion designing, and sustainability in the fashion industry.
The event also featured Mr. Raman Gupta, Managing Director of Krishna Group of Industries and a social activist, who shared his experiences. Students from classes IX-XII participated in workshops on digital design tools, 3D printing applications, and sustainable fashion practices.
Principal, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, expressed pride in the event and its impact, encouraging students to explore dynamic career paths. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dy. Headmaster, Mr. Umesh Kumar Sharma. The event, compered by Manya Targotra and Danish Talwar, left students inspired to pursue innovative careers in the fashion-tech industry.
