Mahila Yog Shakti Diwas celebrations

JAMMU, Dec 25: Bharatiya Yog Sansthan, celebrates "Mahila Yog Shakti Diwas" throughout country and abroad every year. This is one of the seven important annual functions of the Sansthan. This event is conducted and managed exclusively by the women Sadhaks, Shikshaks and Adhikaris of the Sansthan. It is all about participation of women in propelling the society into good health and good living through Yoga.
Accordingly, Bharatiya Yog Sansthan, Jammu celebrated "Mahila Yog Shakti Diwas today ie 25th December 2024 at 11 AM, in the sprawling lawns of the ashram at Gole Gujral Jammu. The programme was quite impressive and attended by over 500 women Yog Sadhaks.
The Programme started with Deep Prajwalan followed by Saraswati Vandana.
Atal Dulloo (IAS) Chief Secretary, JKUT was the Chief Guest of the function. Speaking on the occasion he said that he is aware about the yoga activities of the Organisation and its positive impact in the Society at large. PM's vision for Fit@India can be harnessed through Yoga, he said. He appreciated that events like Mahila Yog Shakti Diwas are quite empowering for the women in the society. Yoga has a potential to have a disease-free society and he urged women to practice yoga to get rid of lifestyle diseases. Shri Dulloo also congratulated the participants on the eve of Mahila Yog Shakti Diwas.
Yogacharya Ved Prakash Rathee, National Executive of the Organisation delivered an informed talk on the topic of management of Joint & Bone pain through Yoga.
Satya Pal, President of the Sansthan earlier welcomed the Chief Guest and introduced the Sansthan to the Chief Guest and the Participants. He said that in J&K, Bharatiya Yog Sansthan is running 125 Yoga Sadhana Kendras in and around Jammu, Samba and Udhampur. Yoga at these centres is taught daily by expert volunteers (Shikshaks) of the Sansthan free of cost. These classes are attended by a large number of people, both men and women, of all age groups on regular basis.
Earlier Sh Jia Lal Sharma General Secretary of the organisation welcomed the Chief Guest and participants. He highlighted the importance of Mahila Yog Shakti Diwas.
