| Ist aid camps on all migratory routes: Dr. Hassan | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, APRIL 06 - The Director, sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu, Dr. Yosuf Hassan has stressed upon the departmental functionaries to educate and equip the breeders with the latest technical know-how for rearing their livestock on the modern scientific lines to get maximum benefits. Dr. Hassan further impressed upon all the field functionaries to revive the daily diaries system so as to bring transparency in working. He emphasized to frame Breeder Welfare Committees at Block and District levels so that through interaction the problems of breeders would be redressed on priority basis. The Director, while taking block and district wise stock of the working of the department, emphasized upon the officers to work with zeal and dedication and to make every possible effort to provide better healthcare, breeding and extension services to the livestock breeders at their door steps. It is worthwhile to mention here that presently 471 Sheep Extension Centres are working in Jammu province catering to the need of sheep and goat rearers in all its segments including far-flung Marwah and Wardwan areas of district Doda. While having discussion on migration programme of livestock of migratory breeders to high land pastures it was impressed upon all field functionaries to establish Ist aid camps enroute all migratory routes with sufficient quota of medicines. He also directed to the concerned officers to establish first aid camps at various points on national highway right from Kathua district to valley so that no complaint from any quarter pours in.
