Indian Army organised interaction for ex-servicemen meet | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Dec 28: With the aim of connecting with Veer Naris and Veterans, an interaction was conducted at Thanamandi, Rajouri, under the Indian Army Central Welfare Fund project by the Indian Army to address grievances, healthcare support, pension-related issues, and the well-being of Veer Naris, Veterans, and their families. The basic objective behind the meeting was to honor and resolve the problems of Veer Naris and Ex-Servicemen. During the interaction, the invitees were informed about the various initiatives undertaken by the Indian Army for the welfare of Veer Naris and Ex-Servicemen in the nearby areas of Thanamandi. The gathering was made aware of the latest Government policies, Digital Life Certificate updating, Chabot Sambandh, ECHS/CSD Card renewal or activation, pre-recruitment rallies, and other welfare-related measures planned for the upcoming months. During the meeting, tea, snacks, and lunch were also served to all invitees. At the end of the event, Veer Naris and Ex-Servicemen were felicitated by the Indian Army. Ex-Servicemen pledged that they would motivate the youth of their area to join the Armed Forces, be part of the mainstream, keep them away from illegal activities like drug peddling, and stay in touch with the civil administration. Representatives of agencies/offices were also present to coordinate and achieve the optimum satisfaction level of the attendees. The event aimed at the redressal of issues and ensuring that necessary steps were taken to assist them. A free medical camp was also organized to help Veer Naris and Ex-Servicemen lead a normal and healthy life, which is otherwise challenging considering the terrain and weather conditions. Requisite consultations, vaccinations, and medicines were provided to help the invitees avail of medical treatment benefits. Additionally, a lecture was organized during this medical camp to emphasize the importance of good eating habits, a balanced diet plan, and maintaining personal hygiene and sanitation to increase the happiness quotient among the gathering. The meeting provided a platform for open dialogue and constructive discussions on various issues and the way forward for creating a congenial environment between the Indian Army and the Awam. The event also served to strengthen the bond between the Indian Army and the Veer Naris and Veterans of this region. It showcased the Indian Army's commitment to Veer Naris and Veterans for their yeoman service to the nation. A total of five Veer Naris, seven widows, 37 Ex-Servicemen, five children, and one official representative of the Zila Sainik Board attended the event. |
