PTTI Vijaypur hosts workshop on vehicle operation and maintenance | | | Early Times Report VIJAYPUR, Dec 28: The Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur, in collaboration with Mahindra Astro India Automobiles Bari Brahmana Jammu, organized a one-day workshop on "Operation & Maintenance of Departmental Vehicles." The event aimed to enhance the technical knowledge of police personnel from districts Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Doda, Kishtwar, Srinagar, Awantipora, Pulwama, and Baramulla. The workshop, conducted in two sessions-indoor lectures and practical demonstrations-was inaugurated by Dushyant Sharma, SSP and Principal of PTTI Vijaypur. In his address, he emphasized the importance of proper vehicle maintenance for effective utilization and to prevent unexpected breakdowns during operations. Engineers Pawan Kumar and Asgar Ali from Mahindra Astro India Automobiles shared their expertise in the first session. They discussed various aspects of vehicle maintenance, including safety procedures, equipment functionality, and essential tools. The second session featured a practical demonstration, providing hands-on training to participants on maintenance procedures. The interactive approach helped attendees gain a deeper understanding of vehicle care. In his concluding remarks, Dushyant Sharma thanked the guest engineers for their valuable contributions and encouraged the participants to apply the knowledge gained to ensure the optimal performance of departmental vehicles. The workshop was well-received and is expected to contribute significantly to the operational readiness of the J&K Police. |
