IDP accuses administration of bias, indifference
4/7/2009 10:37:20 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr 7: The Internationalist Democratic Party (IDP), contesting Lok Sabha elections, has accused the state administration of giving preferential treatment to the ruling party leaders and showing indifference to other parties.
In a statement issued here the IDP spokesman said that the government has yet again shown favoritism and partiality towards the candidates of the alliance during the campaigning period for the forthcoming parliamentary elections. As IDP candidate Sh. Paras Ram Poonchi alongwith his party workers is on a campaigning and interactive tour with people from Jammu constituency, currently he has been addressing rallies and talking to people about his manifesto at Akhnoor, Suran kote, Rajouri, Thanamandi, Poonch etc.
As observed by the party workers while on their way to Poonch, they approached the Rajouri Guest house around mid-night on 6th April ‘09 seeking a night halt there. Despite the fact that there were rooms available at the Rajouri Dak Bunglow, IDP workers were denied the availability by the reception manager, stating that all the available vacant rooms were kept for Sh. Madan Lal Sharma candidate M.P (Congress), as quoted “woh kis waqt aa jaein pata ni, humne kamre unke lie tayar rakhe hain”. This gesture is clearly indicative of the misuse of the government machinery; IDP workers detest this partial behavior and apprehend fairness in the forthcoming elections.
Militancy can not be stopped by weak polices of Congress. NC’s demand of Autonomy and PDP’s demand of self-rule are anti-national. Varun Gandhi was arrested but no action was taken against Mehbooba Mufti for spreading hatered between Jammu and Kashmir. She was not arrested for supporting call for March towards Pakistan. chief minister was not arrested for hurting the sentiments of Jammu, and of a particular community when he said that Jammu should have distributed a ladoos on my decision of Armarnath land transfer. Omar Abdullah was got escort free and parliament should have taken a serious not when he said that we will not allow an inch of land till his death.
