Awareness programme "Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0" held | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 28: The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Jammu, organized an awareness and outreach programme under "Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0" at the Conference Hall, District Development Commissioner's office, Rajouri. The event was led by Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) Sh. Satya Prakash, with key stakeholders and officials in attendance. The programme focused on addressing the concerns of employers and employees while promoting initiatives such as E-Nomination, UAN Activation, KYC Updation, Aadhaar and Bank Seeding, and the benefits of schemes like the Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI) Scheme, 1976, and the Employees' Pension Scheme, 1995. Employers were guided on DSC/E-Sign registration and ECR challan filing. Sh. Satya Prakash provided on-spot solutions to issues raised during the interactive session. The event highlighted the importance of the Principal Employer Portal and steps to ensure compliance by subcontractors, noting cases where workers were excluded from EPFO coverage due to subcontractors lacking PF codes. The programme also addressed grievances and demonstrated processes for PF withdrawals. Participants included representatives from the Small Scale Industries, Private School Association, Fruit Market Association, Beopar Mandal, Stone Crushers, and Private Educational Institutions. The initiative underlines EPFO's commitment to providing social security benefits, including enhanced insurance coverage up to Rs 7 lakhs for employees in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. The session emphasized capacity building and awareness among stakeholders for better compliance and access to benefits. |
