| Three regions equal for PDP: Shohab | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, April 7 : “People Democratic Party (PDP) is committed to the equal development , peace and progress of all the three regions and sub-regions of the state,” Senior People Democratic Party (PDP) leader Professor Shohab Inayat Malik said here today while addressing youth who joined the party today.
He said that PDP patron Mufti Muhammad Sayeed has a visionary approach and had proved it during his tenure as chief minister of the Jammu and Kashmir state. “The people of the state voted in large number to the People Democratic Party candidate during the assembly election and emerged as big political force in the state. Mufti Muhammad Sayeed provided job opportunity to the unemployed youths of the state and in state and started various developmental work in every nook and corner of the state,” Professor Shohab said adding that during his tenure human rights violations were reduced and people were feeling secure.
“It was Mufti Muhammad Sayeed who initiated the peace process . These steps once again build the confidence of the people on democracy and people came out in large numbers to caste their votein the recent concluded assembly elections,’ said Professor Shohab
Lambasting the Congress and National Conference for misleading the people of Chenab Valley for their pity benefits, PDP leader said that being Member Parliament, Ch. Lal Singh had totally failed to deliver goods to the needy and downtrodden people of erstwhile Doda district. “During the two month long agitation in Jammu Ch. Lal Singh openly supported the Sangarsh Samiti and Gujjars from different parts of Jammu and Kathua districts were forced to migrate to Bithindi to save their lives and property,” he said adding that present coalition government had no concrete policy and thus are befooling people through hollow slogans.
He said that it is need of the hour to strengthen the PDP and people should caste their vote in favour of party candidates for the peace, prosperity and development of the state.
Youths who joined the PDP include Vakil Singh , Tariq Mehmood, Asif Iqbal, Parveez Ahmad and others. |
