| BJP claims ‘tremendous’ support in Rajouri, Poonch | | | Early Times Report Jammu, April 7: Lila Karan Sharma, BJP Candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat received tremendous public response in Poonch and Rajouri districts. Sharma addressed largely attended public meetings at Thanna Mandi, Swarnkot, Nowshera and Sunderbani, said a BJP spokesman. Sharma blamed ruling NC and Congress ignoring these two district in the field of tourism promotion. He said that there is huge potentials for tourism related development bun unfortunately both the ruling parties remained sleeping over the matter. He termed it as betray with the people of this hilly area as they have all the time voted in favour of these two parties but the MLAs and MPs elected from these two districts have never bothered for economic well being of the area. BJP candidate assured that he will do his best to bring the bewitching sites in these two districts on the tourism map of the country. The area is full of miniarals and herbs but no scheme for capitalising there treasure has been planed so for. Sharma has condemned Jammu District Police administration for not allowing Yuva Morcha workers to take out scooter rally as a part of the party campaigning. Other who addressed the rallies included Kuldeep Raj Gupta, Vibodh Gupta, Yogesh Sharma, Vishwinder Gupta, Capt. Ramesh Dutt, Aziz Bhat and Mansoor Manhas. Meanwhile, public meetings were held at Tarera, Arnia, Changiya, Kotli, Pindi, Kathar of tehsil Bishnah which were addressed by party Treasurer Sat Sharma (C.A), Distt. Vice-President Raj Singh and Roop Padha, Smt. Satwant Kour addressed public meetings at Nudand Sarna alongwith Kashmir Singh. State Vice-president Chander Parkash Ganga undertook campaign tour in border area of Vijaypur constituency. Party meetings were also held at Raipur-Domana, Malpur Mishriwala. JMC Mayor Kavinder Gupta and Jaideep Sharna addressed meetings at Shastri Nagar, Gandhi Nagar and Gadigarh. Distt. President Rajesh Gupta, senior leader Surinder Sharma also addressed meeting at different localities of Jammu city. |
