Jammu, Dec 29: Vichar Kranti Manch International (VKMI) conducted an insightful awareness session titled “Comprehensive Guide to Winter Health” to educate the community about maintaining good health during the winter season. The event was led by Dr. Shreyansh Kumar Jain, Global President of VKMI, who shared valuable tips on managing winter-related health challenges through yoga, naturopathy, and a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Jain highlighted the adverse effects of winter, including reduced blood circulation, worsened joint pain, skin dryness, and mental health concerns such as seasonal stress. He emphasized the importance of preventive measures, including yoga practices like Surya Namaskar and Bhujangasana, and pranayama techniques such as Kapalbhati and Anulom-Vilom to boost immunity and alleviate stress. The session also featured recommendations for naturopathy and home remedies, including warm baths, sesame oil massages, ginger-honey concoctions, and turmeric milk. A special diet for senior citizens was suggested, comprising warm soups, dry fruits, leafy vegetables, and herbal teas to maintain health and energy during the cold season. Dr. Radha Krishan Gupta, Former Director of Health Services, served as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Ashok Gupta, Director of ASL Tutorial, presided over the function. Other notable attendees included social activists Swaran Amla, Narinder Wadhera, and Vipul Gupta. In his address, Mr. Gupta applauded VKMI’s initiative and encouraged attendees to adopt the shared practices to stay healthy during winter. The session concluded with a collective commitment to embracing wellness strategies for a healthier lifestyle. |
