| Samba police nabbed 2 drug peddlers | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, Dec 31: Tightening noose against drug smugglers/peddlers, Samba Police has arrested two drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and recovered 3.92 grams approximately heroin (chitta) like substance, cash of rupees 13000.00 and two mobile phones from their possession.
A Police party headed by SHO PS Vijaypur under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba during vehicle checking naka established near Gurha Morh Vijaypur, intercepted a Scorpio bearing registration No. JK22-8881 coming from Jammu side and moving towards Vijaypur for its checking. During checking, 3.92 grams approximately heroin like substance, cash of rupees 13000.00 and two mobile phones were recovered from the possession of two persons sitting in the vehicle.
Both the drug peddlers identified as Irfan Ahmed Dar S/o Mudassir Ahmed Dar and Muzamil Ahmed Dar S/o Roshan Din Dar both resident of Asnoor tehsil Damhal Hanjipora district Kulgam have been arrested and contraband item has also been seized.
A case FIR No. 165/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
SSP Samba warned strict action against the people indulging in drug trafficking, bovine smuggling and other criminal activities and urged upon the citizens to cooperate with the police to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society. |
