| JKCA elections on April 13 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 07: Otherwise an annual feature, the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has decided to hold its elections after a gap of three years at Lalit Grand Palace, Srinagar on April 13. Last election held by the Association for the office bearers was on April 16, 2006 at the same venue. “It is true that JKCA is conducting its elections on April 13 at 3 pm wherein office bearers for central body and two wings of Jammu and Kashmir shall be elected for the next term,” general secretary of the JKCA, Salim Khan told SAN. A notification has already been issued by the Association and circulars posted to the affiliated clubs. “We have posted circulars for the elections to all the affiliated clubs and the member institutions. In total, there are 64 members with voting rights, including 14 institutions,” informed Salim. For filing nominations for different posts, the JKCA has set April eight as last date.
