4/7/2009 11:14:04 PM
Early Times Report
Srinagar, Apr 7: Landslides triggered by incessant rains across the border on Tuesday forced Jammu and Kashmir government to suspend weekly trade between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, capital of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), official sources said.
"There was no trade along the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road which was blocked at several places by landslides triggered by incessant rains on the other side," the sources said.
The sources said Pakistani authorities informed their Indian counterparts about the landslides at Chakoti on Tuesday morning and accordingly, the schedule exchange of goods was suspended.
