Congress Pays Tribute to Pt. Trilochan Dutt on his Death Anniversary

Jammu, Jan 5: A function was held at PCC Headquarters Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu today to remember the tallest leader of the party in Jammu Pt. Trilochan Dutt on his Death Anniversary, today.
JKPCC President Shri Tariq Hameed Karra Presided over the function to pay rich tributes to Pt. Trilochan Dutt, a veteran leader of the party who was the tallest leader of Congress of his times in Jammu, wo played an important role in Jammu & Kashmir.
Several prominent leaders of the party attended the function and paid floral tributes to the great leader and remembered his contributions to the society.
Working President Shri Raman Bhalla, Ex-MP Ch. Lal Singh, Ravinder Sharma, Yogesh Sawhney, Ved Mahajan, Ghulam Haider Sheikh, Haji Abdul Rashid-MLA, Sdr. Surinder Singh Channi, Smt. Indu Pawar, Nisaar Mandoo, Naresh Gupta, Yash Paul Kundal, Shabir Ahmed Khan, Shah Mohammad Choudhary, Rajnish Sharma, Th. Manmohan Singh-President DCC Jammu, Shashi Sharma, Narinder Sharma, T.S.Tony, Bhushan Dogra, Suresh Dogra, Smt. Zahida Khan, Dr. Ramakant Khajuria, Rajiv Saraf, Sanjeev Panda, Sahil Sharma, Advocate Bhavishya Sudan, Rajesh Sharma, Ricky Dalotra, Ajay Lakhotra-President NSUI, Ch. Hussian Ali Wafa, Abdul Rashid-President DCC Kulgam, Nisaar Ahmed, Rashid Azam Inqalabi, Surrinder Kumar, Vijayant Pathania, Advocate Tehseena and others attended.
Paying rich tributes JKPCC Chief Tariq Hameed Karra described him the tallest leader of his time who rubbed shoulder with Mahatam Gandhi, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan prior to 1947. He was a co-founder of the Congress party in Jammu and Kashsmir alongwith Shri G. M. Sadiq, Mir Qasim, Mohd. Shafi Qureshi and other such great leaders of his time. He recalled the contributions of Pt. Ji for the party and people.
Mr. Karra said that Congress has launched a mission to go to the roots and remember of all those leaders of the party who have played their role in life for the party in the past. He said it was one of the recommendations of the fact finding committee constituted by the party to suggest strengthening of Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir.
Karra said that those who played historical role in the history should be remembered for educating future generations to know about the history of Congress party in the country in strengthening the unity in diversity. He said that Congress will remain stead fast on its principles of secularism, democracy and strengthening of the constitutional values especially when there are attempts to distort the history and weaken the constitution.
He also referred to the popular demand for restoration of statehood which is being denied by the centre and said that Congress will leave no stone unturned to fight for the same. He also said that the important priority issues of the people will be highlighted by the party forcefully in the days to come for their redressal.
