1,44,357 Electors enrolled in Kishtwar for Lok-Sabha Election

JAMMU, April 08- As many as 1,44,357 electors stands enrolled in district Kishtwar for the twin Assembly constituencies of Kishtwar and Inderwal with reference to the latest electrol revision of Jan 01,2009. These includes 74,606 males and 69,751 female voters and 737 service voters of the district.

As many as 203 polling stations including 16 auxillery are being set up in both the segments for the smooth conduct of polling scheduled on April 23, 2009. The polling station have been categorized as 90 hypersensitive, 53 sensitive and 60 as normal.

Out of the 203 polling stations as many as 35 polling station lie in the unconnected area of Mawrwah tehsil and some villages of Padder Tehsil for which air sorties are being arranged to airlift the polling parties, security personnels and election material.

The Election Control Room stands already established in the ITI complex, besides strong rooms have also been identified in the said premises.
