Srinagar, September 22 – Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Mr. Taj Mohi-ud-Din inaugurated 2 day exhibition on Shehri-Khas, depicting real face of Srinagar at SKICC today.
A magnificent visuals of world famous Dal Lake, Shrines of Amir Kabir, Bulbul Shah and other sufi saints, old glory and grandeur of river Jhelum, Kashmir indigenous architecture of wooden verandah (Dab structure), Khatamband ceiling and other art pieces of building structures, bridges etc. The interior of Srinagar city ‘Shehri Khas’ represented since times immemorial.
The Minister as well as students, writers, scholars and art lovers evinced deep interest in the exhibition.
The exhibition will remain open for two days for general public.
Mr.Taj Mohi-ud-Din asked the organisors to make it a regular feature to organize such exhibitions so that people become acquainted with rich culture, heritage and great civilization. He assured of all out support from the Government in this venture. |
