GDC RS Pura organizes "Surya Namaskar" on Makar Sankranti

RS PURA, Jan 14: On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, Govt. Degree College RS Pura organized a "Surya Namaskar" event to highlight the spiritual, cultural, and agricultural significance of the day. The initiative, supported by the Ministry of AYUSH, aimed to rejuvenate individuals through the practice of "Surya Namaskar," promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from the college staff and students, led by Dr. Sonali Magotra from the Department of Mathematics, along with Sanju Kattal, Sourav Dutt, and Ritik Chauhan. Under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour, Principal of the college, the participants performed the yoga asanas, acknowledging the profound impact of Surya Namaskar on health and well-being.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch (H.O.D. Dogri) and co-coordinated by Prof. Sanjeev Upadhyay (H.O.D. Sanskrit). The gathering was also graced by Dr. Raj Jamwal, Dr. Sudesh Kumar, Prof. Harpreet Kour, Prof. Neelam Kumari, Dr. Hari Singh, Dr. Ruchi, Dr. Sheetal, Dr. Sapna, and Ms. Nisha. The event aimed to promote peace, gratitude, and balance in life amidst the pressures of modern-day stress.
