Ace of Spade Division Commemorates 9th Veterans' Day

RAJOURI, Jan 14: The Ace of Spade Division commemorated the 9th Veterans' Day with great respect and reverence. The event, attended by Veer Naris and Ex-Servicemen, highlighted the dedication of Indian Army in honoring the nation's heroes for their service and sacrifices.
Maj Gen Kaushik Mukherjee, SM, GOC, Ace of Spade Division, presided as the Chief Guest for the event. He personally interacted with all Ex-Servicemen and Veer Naris & felicitated the Chakra awardees, reflecting his deep respect and commitment to the veterans community. Mrs. Praveena Mukherjee felicitated Veer Naris, marking the unwavering dedication to their legacy.
The event also featured a video address by the Honourable Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister of J&K Omar Abdullah and General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General M V Suchindra Kumar PVSM, AVSM, YSM**, VSM conveyed their gratitude and wishes to the veterans.
Various stalls from representatives of Army Regimental Record Offices, Government Departments, civil administration were established for recording and grievances redressal. The Event also extended in situ preliminary medical aid by doctors of 150 GH & GMC, Rajouri.DIG Rajouri and SSP Rajouri also attended the event reinforcing the significance of the occasion.
The event concluded with a group photograph followed by lunch for veterans and their families.
