Later, Dr. Andrabi visited the Dargah Hazratbal, where she inspected the ongoing renovation works and paid obeisance. She also met with families affected by a recent fire incident at Hazratbal. As a relief measure, the Waqf Board Chairperson handed over cheques of ?1 lakh each to the affected households.
"We are extending this relief from the Waqf Board, but I appeal to everyone to contribute individually to help those in need," Dr. Andrabi stated, expressing solidarity with the fire victims.
The proactive efforts of the Waqf Board and the administration in ensuring smooth festival preparations and providing timely assistance to affected families were widely appreciated.
