Notorious criminals from Kashmir valley apprehended by Nowabad police

JAMMU, Jan 16: Displaying utmost alertness, Nowabad police today achieved a major success when it apprehended 04 notorious criminals from Kashmir who were evading their arrest since last coupIe of years. They are involved in 43 cases related to vehicle lifting, cattle lifting, kidnapping, Rape, cheating have been registered against them in Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla, Sopore, Kulgam, Ganderbal, Bandipora, Jammu distts., Hon'ble courts have issued several non baliable warrants against them in different cases but they were absconding since last couple of years and were not traceable.
In view of forthcoming Republic Day, 2025, security setup beefed up in entire Jammu city. During patrolling, Nowabad police received an information that some unknown individuals were roaming in Chand Nagar area under suspicious circumstances.
Acting swiftly, police party from PS Nowabad led by PSI Aziz Tariq alongwith HC Jehangir Khan apprehended all 4 from the area who disclosed there identities as:
Altaf Ahmed S/O Abdul Wahab R/O Gantamulla Baramulla district,
Parvez Ahmed S/O Mohd Ali R/O Hawal kani deva Sheeri Baramulla,
Adil Ahmed S/O Mohd Imran Shah R/O Shalteng Srinagar and
Modh latief Pathan S/O Mohd Ali Pathan R/O Mujpathri Tehsil Khansahib Distt. Budgam.
All of them were put to sustained questioning during which they broke down and confessed that they are involved in more than 40 cases registered against them in Uri, Boniyar, Sheeri, Baramulla, Dangi wachi, Kral Khud, Qazigund, Kulgam, Ganderbal, Bandipora, Parimpura Police Stations of Kashmir spanning over several distts. of Kashmir.
Recently, they have kidnapped 01 minor girl from Qamarwari area in which FIR under relevant sections of law at PS Parimpora. On their disclosure, minor girl (Details withheld) too was recovered from their possession.
After completing legal formalities, all the accused have been handed over to Srinagar police for further course of legal action
Public has highly appreciated the quick action of Nowabad police in apprehension of notorious criminals/recovery of minor girl.
Police team led by PSI Aziz Tariq and HC Jahangir Khan made the arrest/recovery under the supervision of *Insp. Deepak Pathania SHO P/S Nowabad, DSP Hqrs. Jammu and SP City North Jammu.
