Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 17: MLA Jammu North and former Minister, m Lal rma, conducted an extensive tour of Municipal Wards 61 and 67 today, addressing the developmental and civic needs of the residents. The tour covered areas such as Muthi, Lower Muthi, Kalka Nagar, Tomal Luxmi Vihar, Anand Nagar, Udhaywala, and Patta Bhori, where rma interacted with locals, inspected ongoing projects, and reviewed infrastructure to ensure the efficient delivery of services.
During the visit, several issues were raised and promptly addressed. The road widening project in Lower Muthi was reviewed, with rma stressing the importance of completing the work swiftly to alleviate traffic congestion.
He also inspected the under-construction Kalka Nagar Road and directed officials to complete it on time while maintaining high-quality standards. Many lanes and drains were found to be in poor condition, and immediate repairs were ordered to prevent waterlogging and enhance drainage systems.
Waste disposal and sanitation were highlighted as key concerns. rma instructed the sanitation team to implement a more effective system for cleanliness and waste management.
Addressing the issue of irregular drinking water supply, he directed the Public Health Engineering Department to ensure consistent and equitable distribution across the area. The review also covered the DPRs for Kalka Nagar and Tomal area Nallahs, with a focus on maintaining these water channels to prevent flooding and ensure better water flow. rma reassured the residents that his priority is to provide essential services such as clean drinking water, efficient sanitation, well-maintained roads, and reliable electricity to all citizens in Jammu North Constituency.
