J&K Ball Badminton association conducts selection trials for senior men’s team

Srinagar, Jan 17 The J&K Ball Badminton Association (JKBBA) successfully conducted trials for the J&K Senior Men’s Ball Badminton Team at Gindun Sports Stadium, Raj Bagh. The trials aimed to select players for the upcoming 70th Senior National Ball Badminton Championship 2024-25, scheduled to be held in Bellari, Karnataka, from February 6 to 9, 2025. Supervised by the J&K Sports Council, the trials featured key observers, including Mr. Maqsood Ahmad Khan (Deputy Manager, SKISC), Mr. Iqbal Ahmad (Manager, Gindun Sports Stadium), and Mr. Dilbagh Singh (Tennis Coach). Prominent JKBBA members, including Mrs. Arsheena Khan (General Secretary, JKBBA & Joint Secretary, BBFI) and Mr. Mohsin Farooq (Member, JKBBA), also monitored the event. From 20 participants, 16 players were shortlisted for a 21-day Residential Coaching Camp, which commenced on January 14 and will continue until February 3, 2025, at Gindun Sports Stadium. At the camp’s conclusion, the final 10 players.
