GDC Thannamandi concludes 7-day special NSS winter camp

THANNAMANDI, Jan 18: The 7-day Special NSS Winter Camp organized by the Government Degree College Thannamandi, Rajouri, came to a close with a grand valedictory function held in the college campus today.
The camp organized by NSS Unit of College between Jan 8-16, 2025, engaged volunteers in various community service activities, including cleaning and beautifying the college campus, creating flower beds on waste land, whitewashing the walls, and cleaning the renowned Lah Bawli in Khablan village.
The valedictory function was presided over by College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Farooq Ahmed, who applauded the efforts of the volunteers and emphasized the importance of community service. Prof. Supriya Gupta, NSS Program Officer, coordinated the camp activities.
On this occasion, the NSS volunteers presented a report on the activities carried out during the camp followed by a colourful cultural program, featuring performances by the volunteers.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Dr. Nazakat Hussain, Dr. Naseem Ahmed, Dr. Abdul Haque Naimi, Rakesh Puri, Dr.Nazar Ul Islam, Dr Ather Aziz Raina, Dr Junaid Ahmed, Dr Gohar Iqbal, Anuj Bali, Prof. Fatima Parveen, Prof. Rumy Dar and Prof Rizwana Kouser.
