Poll staff training in Reasi

EARLY TIMES REPORT
REASI, APRIL 9- The District Election Officer, Reasi, Mr. Sanjeev Verma has directed the Assistant Returning Officers of all three Assembly segments of the Reasi district viz- 57-Gulabgarh, 58-Reasi and 59 Gool-Arnas to inform all the Presiding and Polling Officers designated for duties at all three Assembly segments of the Reasi district for the General Parliamentary Election 2009 for 5-Udhampur parliamentary constituency to be held on 23rd April, 2009 to ensure their presence at the respective training venues for getting proper training in handling of EVMs.
The Presiding and Polling Officers who have been deployed in 57-Gulabgarh Assembly segment will be imparted training at Government Higher Secondary School boys Reasi on 11th of April, 2009 at 11 a.m. whereas the Presiding and Polling Officers deployed in 58-Reasi segment will be imparted training at Government Higher Secondary School boys Reasi on 12th of April, 2009 at 11 a.m.
The Presiding and Polling Officers deployed in 59-Gool Arnas Assembly segment will be imparted training at Government Higher Secondary School Gool and Higher Secondary School Arnas respectively on 12th of April, 2009 at 11 a.m.
It is pertinent to mention here that the employees posted at Gool but deployed for election duty in 58-Reasi and 57-Gulabgarh Assembly segments will be imparted 2nd phase of training at Gool and they will be informed about their Assembly constituencies for which they have to perform their polling duties separately by their District Officers as well as their controlling officers
All the concerned District Officers as well as other controlling officers have been also asked to inform all the Presiding as well as polling officers well in time. Any Presiding and Polling Officer, who fails to attend the training and are found absent for whatever reasons shall be deemed to be suspended besides other disciplinary action under Election Law & Rules, will also follow.
