| Anlay-Fu highest, Thukje Gonpa smallest polling station | | Lowest voter count in Ladakh LS seat | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, APRIL 09 – Ladakh Parliamentary constituency has the distinction of having the lowest number of electors among all the six Parliamentary seats of the State. As many as 1,52,391 electors including 77,899 males and 74,492 females would exercise their franchise on May 13 in the last phase of Lok Sabha polls for Ladakh Parliamentary seat. The Ladakh seat has four Assembly segments of Nobra and Leh in Leh district and Kargil and Zanskar in Kargil district. Nobra in Leh district has the lowest number of 12,373 registered voters among all the 87 Assembly segments of the State. Of the 12,373 electors in the segment, 6,470 are male and 5,903 are female. Leh Assembly segment has 62,504 electors including 32,537 male and 29,967 female voters. In Kargil district, Zanskar Assembly segment has 20,397 electors which are third only to Gurez Assembly segment having 15,758 electors. For Zanskar Assembly segment, 10,258 male and 10,139 female electors would cast their votes in the Lok Sabha elections. In Kargil Assembly segment, there are 57,117 electors registered which include 28,634 male and 28,483 female voters. The Parliamentary seat also has the distinction of having the highest polling station at Anlay-Fu which is situated 15,000 ft. above sea-level. In Leh district, Polling Station-157 at Chuchot Gongma has the highest number of 1,324 electors who would cast their votes. Polling station-171 in Thukje Gonpa is the smallest polling station having only six voters. Likewise, in Kargil district, Polling Station-36 set up for male electors only at Indoor stadium, Kargil with 1,099 voters is the largest polling station while as Polling Station-106 Thosa having only seven voters is the smallest polling station.
