GDC Majalta launches seven-day NSS winter camp

MAJALTA, Jan 20: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Majalta inaugurated a seven-day winter camp with the theme "Not Me, But You," focusing on local development and community engagement. The camp, running from January 20 to 26, 2025, aims to foster social responsibility and community participation among students and volunteers.
The inaugural ceremony featured distinguished guests, including GDC Majalta Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Shalini Sharma, faculty members, and local leaders. In her address, Dr. Sharma highlighted the significance of NSS in nurturing a sense of service and empowering students to contribute to community development.
Throughout the camp, a range of activities will be undertaken, including:
Cleanliness Drives: Promoting hygiene and sanitation in nearby villages.
Awareness Campaigns: Educating locals on health, education, and sustainable living practices.
