UDHAMPUR, Jan 20: On 20th January 2025, the 137 Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), under the banner of its civic action program, launched the "Know Your Nation" initiative at the Shaheed Inspector Kamal Singh Govt. Model Higher Secondary School (Boys) in Udhampur, Jammu & Kashmir. The program was inaugurated by Shri Ram Singh, DIG, CRPF Jammu Sector.
The event was attended by senior officers, including Shri Vishwadeep Bhunral (Commandant 137 Battalion), Shri Sanjeev Bhat (Additional SP, Udhampur), Shri Manoj Kumar (Deputy Commandant), and other dignitaries. Students, teachers, and local residents actively participated.
As part of the program, a group of 20 students, accompanied by two teachers and two CRPF personnel, embarked on an educational tour covering historical and cultural landmarks across various locations, including Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Dehradun. The students will also visit the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Botanical Gardens, and other significant sites to enhance their understanding of India's heritage and cultural diversity.
The local community appreciated the initiative and recommended organizing similar tours in the future to expose students to the nation's rich cultural and historical diversity.
This program reflects the CRPF's commitment to fostering cultural awareness and promoting national unity among the youth.
