SSP Doda holds PCPG crime review meeting in Bhaderwah

DODA, Jan 20: With a view to listen the grievances of general public and to have a first hand information about the issues there, SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta- JKPS today on 20th of Jan-2025, paid a visit to Bhaderwah and held a PCPG (Police Community Partnership Group Meeting) at Dakbaglow there, which was attended by prominent persons/ elderly people, local businessmen , religious associations, tourist operators and hoteliers.
The participants while speaking on this occasion, lauded the efforts of police by way of conducting such public outreach programmes in all areas of District for listening the issues and grievances of the general public. The participants highlighted many demands and raised numerous issues of the area especially traffic congestion, VDGs, cyber crimes. A patient hearing was given by SSP Doda to their demands and they were assured that their demands pertaining to Police would be resolved on priority besides issues related to other departments will be taken up with concerned departments for appropriate action. While addressing the participants, SSP Doda urged upon them to maintain brotherhood, communal harmony and strengthen the hands of Police in eradicating social crimes so that peaceful and crime free atmosphere is built up in the District. They were also informed to provide inputs/information to police about smuggling of drugs, bovine, manufacturing of illicit liquor and other illegal activities if any happening in their areas for initiating appropriate action under law against the offenders. While speaking about the Cyber Crimes, the SSP informed the participants that a Cyber Crime unit has already been established at district headquarters which can be contacted in case of any cyber related issues and people must use the social media channels very responsibly and refrain themselves from using the cyber world casually. "A single post on a social media platform has the potential to change the whole scenario of the area" He added.
Thereafter, a crime review meeting was also held at ASP Office Bhaderwah wherein a threadbare discussion of crime and other allied matters of PS Bhaderwah was held with SDPO Bhaderwah/SHO PS Bhaderwah, IC PPs and other investigating staff of the PS. Necessary instructions were given for expeditious disposal of U/I cases, tracing out of missing persons, arrest of absconders, surveillance on suspected persons, smugglers, conducting of Long /Short Range Patrolling besides ensuring police services to the public to the desired level. Addl. SP Bhaderwah Sh Vinod Kumar, SDPO Bhderwah Sh Vaseem Mehmood and SHO Bhaderwah Insp Sandeep Parihar were also present on the occasion.
