BKS holds Dogri Music cum Felicitation Program

JAMMU, Jan 21: Bhartiya Kala Sangam,Jammu today held Dogri Music cum Felicitation Program in Writers Club Abhinav Theatre Jammu, in which large number of art lovers and distinguished citizens attended the program In this program, a galaxy of Guests graced the occasion in which Devyani Rana, CEO Take One Channel and Vice President, Bhartiya Party Yuva Morcha was the Chief Guest whereas Prof. Vijay Dev Singh, formar Director Distance Education, University of Jammu was the Guest of Honour. Besides T.R. Sharma, KAS (Retd) Chairman, Ramesh Singh Chib, Director Bhartiya Kala Sangam were also present on the occasion
While welcoming the guests and distinguished audience, T.R. Sharma gave a brief account of various cultural activities undertaken by BKS since its inception from 1980 He apprised that numerous events with regard to art, culture and languages have been held in Jammu and Kashmir involving various categories of artists. He said that the platform of BKS is always open for the artists where they can showcase their talent at various platforms including the plateform of Bhartiya Kala Sangam.
While addressing the audience, Devyani Rana said that BKS has been doing the wonderful service to Dogra land and promoting the Dogra art, culture and Languages. She extended her appreciation to the participating Singers for their mesmerizing performances. She congratulated the management of BKS for hold such program providing its plateform to budding artists as well. While concluding,she sang a dogri song, "Palla Sapaya Dohraya Dhara deya Deyain Alla' which was joined by the whole audience with clapping.
In this program the Singers who performed were Tilak Raj Tagotra, Ravi Raghuvanshi, Dr. Arvinder Kour Bedi, Marina Jamwal, Aditya Kumar , Group of Tansain Institute led by Sonia Sharma. Later BKS honoured with trophies to Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. Besides persons of eminence were also honoured in the program. The program was ably conducted by Pranab Sharma and vote of thanks presented by Ramesh Singh Chib, Director Bhartiya Kala Sangam.
