APS Damana hosts felicitation ceremony to celebrate excellence

JAMMU, Jan 21: Army Public School (APS) Damana organized an inspiring Felicitation Ceremony to honor the outstanding achievements of its students and faculty. The event was graced by Commander Chenab Brigade, Chairman APS Damana, as the Chief Guest, alongside Lt Col RS Slathia, SO School, and other dignitaries, including the Principal, Mrs. Pushpinder Kaur, and Vice Principal, Shallu Kapoor.
The ceremony began with a formal welcome by the Vice Head Boy, Naman Katoch, and Vice Head Girl, Gaytri Singh, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a soulful invocation. Academic achievers of CBSE Class X and XII (2023-24), including school and subject toppers, were recognized with cash incentives and trophies. Sports achievers at national, command, and district levels, as well as winners of inter-school competitions, were awarded trophies and certificates.
A highlight of the event was the "Symphonic Spectrum," a mesmerizing musical performance by Mr. Sunny Kumar, TGT Music, and the young maestros of APS Damana, earning applause from all present.
The faculty was also celebrated for their contributions, with cash incentives and certificates awarded for their efforts in enhancing board results and promoting holistic education. Special recognition was given to Ms. Sukriti Giri, TGT Computer Science, for receiving the prestigious Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card.
Dr. Hargobind Khorana House, led by House Incharge Mrs. Jyoti Raina and House Captain Vanshika Sharma, was declared Champion House of the Year.
The Chief Guest encouraged students to pursue their passions with dedication and urged parents to provide unwavering support to their children. Principal Mrs. Pushpinder Kaur inspired students to uphold the values of integrity, innovation, and inclusivity.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Vice Head Boy and Vice Head Girl, followed by the National Anthem and refreshments for the attendees.
