| Shakeup in JU ranks | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr 9: A major reshuffle at the administrative level has been ordered in Jammu University, immediately after the recently held meeting of University Council in Jammu.
Sources in the University said that Vice Chancellor has appointed Prof IB Malan of the Department of Library Sciences as new Director, Academics Staff Colleges replacing Dr Meenakshi Kelam. Prof PS Pathania has been transferred as Controller Examination, Jammu University and posted as new Director, Colleges Development Council (CDC) and Prof RD Sharma has been appointed as new Controller of Examination, University of Jammu replacing Prof PS Pathania.
It may be recalled that majority of faculty members and administrative officers were openly opposing Dr Meenakshi Kelam as Director of Quality Assurance and Director Colleges especially after the expiry of term Prof Amitabh Matoo as Vice Chancellor, in the University of Jammu.
However, the fate of Dr Meenakshi Kelam was still not decided since her powers were already snatched recently by the University authorities. |
