| Awareness lecture on various academic application software held | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Jan 22: The Department of Computer Applications, Government Women College (GCW), Udhampur organized an awareness lecture on various Academic application software such as JUCC, DigiLocker, ABC etc under the aegis of IQAC at the college campus.
The workshop was organized under the headship of Dr. Preeti Dubey, Department of Computer Applications.
Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Nalini Pathania was elated and appreciated the department for organizing such an event for the awareness of the students with the various application software required to ease out their academic journey.
Rachna Bharti demonstrated the use of JUCC app as well as the portal designed for the undergraduate students of all colleges affiliated to University of Jammu to check their university related information such as their profile, examination related information. She also apprised the students about the way of updating their information. The introduced the students to various menu options of the application software. The app is a one-stop solution for all their information. The students were also told about the safety features of the software.
Dr. Preeti Dubey continued the session by apprising the students about the DigiLocker initiative of the Govt, of India. She, in her lecture, informed the students that the university of Jammu was also registered with the DigiLocker. She apprised the students that under the IT Act of 2000, the DigiLocker certificates/documents are recognised to be equivalent to actual physical documents. She also talked about linkage of ABC (academic bank of credits) with the DigiLocker and explained the students about the importance of creating abc ids by the students.
The students gave positive feedback regarding their increased awareness about the various software available for the use of students to ease out their student life. The program was coordinated by Dr. Ms. Akshi Gupta. Dr. Rudrika Kalsotra presented a vote of thanks. |
