Early Times Report RAJOURI, Jan 22: The Indian Army extended healthcare services to the remote parts of Rajouri district through a mobile medical patrol in the villages of Simbal and Chidiyala to address the medical needs of the locals, as well as the Gujjar and Bakkarwals in the area. The inhabitants of these areas are often cut off from mainstream healthcare facilities due to their isolated geographic location and challenging terrain. They benefited immensely from this initiative, which contributed to the overall well-being of the locals, who often suffer due to disparities in healthcare, leading to higher morbidity and mortality rates. The mobile medical patrol, equipped with essential medical supplies and services, reached these areas to provide healthcare with compassion for local villagers, as well as Gujjar and Bakkarwals. The primary objective was to provide on-the-spot medical care and check-ups, which included basic health assessments, treatment of common ailments, and distribution of necessary medicines.
