UDHAMPUR, Jan 22: Udhampur Police apprehended a notorious drug peddler during a vehicle checking operation at Tikri naka point. A police team led by ICPP Tikri intercepted a Bolero (registration number JK14J-4983) traveling from Jammu to Udhampur.
Upon frisking the driver, identified as Mohd. Asif, son of Sanak Mohd. of Hartayan, Rehambal, Udhampur, 7.45 grams of heroin (chitta) was recovered. The accused was arrested on the spot.
A case under FIR No. 14/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal, and further investigation is underway. This action reflects the ongoing efforts of Udhampur Police to curb drug trafficking in the region. |
