| Snap Traffic Naka in South Jammu City leads to seizure of 15 vehicles | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 22: South Jammu witnessed a snap traffic naka today, resulting in the seizure of more than 15 vehicles. The operation was on ground supervised by the SP south, SDPO south and conducted with a five-fold objective:
* Enforcement of Supreme Court's verdict on tinted glasses: Vehicles with excessively tinted windows were strictly dealt with.
* Enhanced security measures ahead of Republic Day: The naka aimed to bolster security checks in light of the upcoming national celebration.
* General traffic rule enforcement: The operation focused on checking for violations of traffic regulations.
* Deterrence of traffic offenses: The visible presence of the naka served as a strong deterrent to traffic rule violations.
*Drive against signs promoting gun culture in society: found on two and four-wheelers, which were removed and seized in extreme cases.
The JKP personnel in a co-ordinated, professional and planned manner conducted thorough checks on all vehicles passing through the naka.
All types of vehicles including matadors, buses, cars and two-wheelers were checked and suitable action was taken against different violations.
Vehicles found to be in violation of Motor Vehicle Acy or Rules were either challaned or impounded.
The general public and netizens have widely appreciated the surprise naka and drive against vehicle law violations conducted led by the senior officers on ground. |
