MLA Arvind calls on CM Omar Abdullah, discusses key issues of Jammu West | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 22: Senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu West Constituency, Arvind Gupta today met with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and held detailed discussions on various pressing issues affecting the people of his constituency. During the meeting, Arvind Gupta emphasized the urgent need for improvement in Public Health Engineering (PHE) infrastructure, addressing the shortage of drinking water, upgrading school education facilities, and ensuring better basic amenities for the residents. He pointed out that despite multiple representations from the people, the administration has been slow in addressing their grievances, necessitating immediate intervention at the highest level. Highlighting the dilapidated condition of roads, erratic power supply, and sanitation issues, Arvind Gupta urged the Chief Minister to direct the concerned departments for swift action. He also raised concerns regarding the lack of adequate teaching staff and infrastructure in government schools, which is adversely affecting students' education in Jammu West. "The people of Jammu West have been suffering since decades due to inadequate water supply, poor road conditions, and lack of proper educational facilities. The government must take immediate steps to resolve these long-pending issues to ensure a better standard of living for the residents," said Arvind Gupta. The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah gave a patient hearing and assured that necessary steps would be taken to address these concerns. Arvind expressed hope that the Chief Minister's intervention would bring much-needed relief to the people of Jammu West and reaffirmed his commitment to continue raising public concerns at all relevant forums. |
