GDC Vijaypur organised Essay writing Competition

Vijaypur, Jan 25: Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Department of Education of Government Degree College Vijaypur organised an essay writing competition on the theme, “Netaji Subhash Chander Bose: As an Icon for development of spirit of Patriotism among youth of the Nation” in continuation to the series of the celebration of week-long activities to be performed under Republic Day 2025 under the supervision and guidance of Prof. Vandana Gupta, Principal of the college. The event commenced with the welcome address by Professor Ritu Bhagat, Convener IQAC.
She briefed the students regarding the guidelines for essay writing competition. She further exhorted that he coined the term ‘Jai Hind’. His charisma and powerful personality inspired many people into the freedom struggle and continues to inspire Indians. He was called lovingly as Netaji by the people. More than 15 students participated in the event. The first position was secured by Shruti Jamwal of B.A. Semester 6, the second position was bagged by Mehak of B.A. Semester 6 and the 3rd position was shared between Smriti Sharma and Sharda Devi of B.A. semester 6. The event was coordinated by Prof. Poonam Kundan (HOD EVS), Dr. Naseem Choudhary (HOD English) and others members of IQAC and co-coordinated by Dr. Gunjeet Mahiwal (Lecturer, Department of Education) and Dr Noreeen Jaral (Lecturer, Department of Education). The competition was adjudged by Prof. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science), Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce), and Dr. Anoop Kumar Bhagat (HOD Sociology). All the participants were rewarded by the Principal of the college.
