JPDCL successfully commissions new receiving station at critical Bagthali Industrial Estate

JAMMU, Jan 25: A New 10 MVA,66/11 KV Receiving station along with connected 66 KV Line has been successfully commissioned by JPDCL today in the presence of MD JPDCL at an approved cost of Rs.1085.42 Lacs. The new Receiving station shall provide much needed relief to various Industrial Units at Bagthali Industrial Estate. The supply to Industrial Estate is very critical because the Industrial Units at Bagthali have committed significant Investment in J&K.
The Industries which shall get benefitted by the commissioning of the 10 MVA Receiving Station include M/s ChiripalPolyfilms, M/s Bloomtex Industry, M/s Jupitar Aluminum Pvt. Ltd, M/s Kandhari Beverages, M/s Devyani and M/s CTM. During the commissioning it was highlighted that the Receiving station has been constructed by the turn ket contractor M/s Alliance Transcon Pvt. Ltd. Along with 6.5 KM Augmentation/Thickening of existing 66KV TPK feeder from existing ACSR Dog Conductor to ACSR Panther conductor. A new electrical line of 4.66 KM was also laid by the turnkey contractor.
Ch. Mohd. Yasin (IAS), Managing Director, JPDCL along with Superintending Engineer, Surjit Singh and other staff members remained present during the final commissioning of the project. After the successful commissioning of the project, MD JPDCL highlighted the importance of uninterrupted power for the growth of Industrial Sector in J&K. He said that JPDCL is committed to provide quality power to the Industry and the commissioning of Reciving Station at Bagthali is a step forward in that direction. He said that various other projects such as new 33 KV Lines for Bari Brahmana and Samba Industrial Estates have been taken up in recent past by JPDCL to provide uninterrupted power to Industries in J&K.
