Lal, Mangat appeal electorate to vote Congress for peace, development

Jammu, Apr 10-Congress candidate for Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Parliamentary Constituency Ch. Lal Singh accompanied by senior Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Mangat Ram Sharma addressed a series of meetings at Tikkri, Jakher, Laddan Power, Nilli Nallah, Jaganu and Sallan Talab in Udhampur city today and appealed the people to vote for the development and progress of the state and the nation.
Lal Singh said that only Congress government at the centre can take the state and the nation on the path of peace, progress and prosperity and maintain harmony against different faiths and sections of the society. He hoped that the people of the country would return Congress to power and make Dr. Manmohan Singh again Prime Minister of the country as the policies of Dr. Manmohan Singh government have taken the nation forward on all fronts. He said that Indian economy is sustaining today when entire World is facing economic recessesion. It is because of the foresighted economic policies of Congress and Dr. Manmohan Singh government, he added.
He said that the it is because of the credibility of Congress party and Dr. Manmohan Singh led government that Nuclear deal was offered to India by the US which will meet the future energy requirements of our country but parties like BJP and others tried to play politics on the issue against the interests of the people of the country.
Mangat Ram Sharma in his address referred to large scale achievements of the UPA government and Congress led government in the state and said only Congress can ensure and secure the interests of all sections of society and strengthen the nation. He said that the massive development carried on all three regions and in different parts of the state is because of the financial support of Congress government at the centre to the state.
Sharma said that those spreading hatred are sowing the seeds of division in the society which have the potential of disintegrating our state and the country.
He cautioned the people against the divisive, communal and caste based politics and said that secular bounds are very delicate and need to be strengthened to defeat the designs of enemies of India’s unity and progress.
