RS PURA, Jan 27: Government Degree College (GDC) R.S. Pura commemorated the 76th Republic Day with immense zeal and patriotic fervor. The celebrations, spanning three days starting from January 23, showcased the unity and diversity of the nation through a series of vibrant cultural and educational events.
The program began with the ceremonial unfurling of the National Flag by Principal (Prof.) Dr. Preetpal Kour, accompanied by the National Anthem and an impressive parade by the NCC boys and girls contingent. The tricolor adorned the campus, instilling pride and unity among all present.
Students demonstrated their artistic talents through cultural performances, including Nukkad Nataks, traditional dances, and a patriotic song competition organized by the NSS Volunteers. The festivities highlighted India's rich cultural heritage and vibrant spirit.
In her inspiring address, Principal Dr. Preetpal Kour underscored the importance of the Constitution and emphasized the collective responsibility of upholding justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. She praised the efforts of the students and faculty for making the event a grand success.
