| GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur celebrates 76th Republic Day | | |  Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Jan 27: GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur organized 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The event commenced with unfurling of National Flag by the esteemed Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora followed by rendition of the National Anthem by the staff as well as the students of the college. March Past and Cultural Activities were the special features of the event in which the students showcased their talents through dance, music and drama performances that highlighted the rich cultural heritage of the nation. The event also included singing of patriotic song by the students, leaving a sense of unity and pride in the hearts of all the participants. NSS volunteers under the guidance of Prof. Shaista Yasmeen, NSS PO also showcased the performance of communal harmony to symbolize the unity among diversity.
On the occasion, the Principal addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of upholding the values enshrined in the Constitution of India. She encouraged the students to become responsible citizens and contribute to country's growth and development. This day is a reminder of the country's rich history and the importance of holding its values. She congratulated the staff as well as the students of the college for organizing such an event as it showcased a vibrant display of Unity, culture and reverence of Nation's history. The staff of the college also delivered speeches; on the importance of patriotism, social responsibility and the role of the youth in shaping the future of the nation. The organizers of the program were Dr. Sunil Tanoch (Convenor Cultural Committee), Dr. Akhter Hussain, Dr. Mubariq Mahire, Dr. Muntazir Ahmed, Dr. Zahoor Mir, Mr. Nazeer Khan. Later all the participants were served light refreshments. |
