| PPS celebrates 76th Republic Day | | | Agencies
NABHA, Jan 27: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at The Punjab Public School with great enthusiasm. The proceedings got underway with the arrival of Headmaster Dr D.C. Sharma at the Headmaster's Green at 9.00 am. All the three wings of the NCC were in attendance. He unfurled the national tri-colour and inspected the guard of honour. Eshreet Kaur, Nimrat Kaur and Akashdeep Singh expressed their thoughts on the relevance of the day in English, Hindi and Punjabi respectively. The school choir sang patriotic songs-Vande matram and Jag utha hai sara vatan sathiyo. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sharma emphasised the importance of abiding by the Constitution to be ideal citizens. The proceedings ended with singing of the national anthem. |
