Vivek Parihar honoured with Gandhi Doot Samman-2025

JAMMU, Jan 30: Social activist Mr. Vivek Parihar, Director & CEO of Live For Others - Being Helpful Foundation (LFO-BHF), has been honored with the Gandhi Doot Samman by Hon'ble Lt. Governor of J&K, Sh. Manoj Sinha during the Shanti Doot Sameelan-2025, held at Dewan-e-Aam, Mubarak Mandi, Jammu, on the 77th Punyatithi of the Father of the Nation. The event was organized by Gandhi Global Family, J&K.
A resident of Udhampur, originally from Doda, J&K, his journey in social service began as an NSS volunteer in 2014, contributing to awareness drives, blood donation camps, and relief work.
As the Founder & CEO of LFO-BHF, a registered organization under MCA, Govt. of India & NITI Aayog, he leads initiatives in environment, healthcare, education, youth development, and disaster relief.
Vivek Parihar's contributions have earned him eight national awards, including the National Youth Award in 2024, the highest youth honor conferred by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.
He has also participated in three national camps, including the Pre-RD Camp, National Youth Festival, and National Integration Camp, along with three university-level NSS camps and the Swachh Bharat Summer Internship (2018), where he contributed 100 hours of service.
He has received appreciation letters from various dignitaries, including MP Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas, former Deputy Chief Minister of J&K Kavinder Gupta, and many others. He also played a significant role in the WHO-supported COVID-19 awareness campaign.
Parihar has donated blood fifteen times and has organized multiple blood donation camps. He has also undergone First Aid Training with the Red Cross Society, Jammu and has conducted 25+ workshops on social issues.
Recently, Vivek Parihar received an award from the District Administration Udhampur for his outstanding contribution in social work on the occasion of Republic Day.
On receiving the Gandhi Doot Samman, Mr. Parihar stated, "This honor reaffirms my commitment to social service and strengthens my resolve to drive meaningful change for society and the youth."
