Microsoft Gurugram hosts Galgotias University students for educational visit

GURUGRAM, Feb 1: In a significant step towards strengthening industry-academia collaboration, Galgotias University organized an industrial visit for third-year B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) students to Microsoft, Gurugram. This visit aimed to provide students with hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technologies and real-world industry insights.
During the visit, Microsoft experts Shivani Thadian, Shikha Ghildiyal, and Mayank Jolly conducted informative sessions on Azure Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Network Security, and Cloud Infrastructure. Live demonstrations and interactive Q&A sessions allowed students to gain practical experience in these emerging technologies.
A key highlight of the event was an inspiring keynote by Sanya Duggal, who shared insights on career-building in AI and Cloud Computing, emphasizing the growing relevance of Microsoft Azure and AI Copilot. Additionally, Shivam Sharma, a Galgotias University alumnus and current Microsoft Data Consultant, motivated students by sharing his journey from college to a successful career at Microsoft.
The visit was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Avadhesh Kumar, who stated, "Under the leadership of Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, Galgotias University is setting new benchmarks in industry-academia collaboration. Our focus is on equipping students with the latest technological skills to excel in the global job market."
