| 3rd Tickoo-Drabu memorial cricket tournament | | Impressive 110 runs win for Patel Club | | Early Times Report JAMMU, April 11: Guided by fine innings from Arun Sharma and Madan, Patal Cricket Club (PCC) today registered a big 110 runs victory over MG Cricket Club (MGCC) in the ongoing 3rd Tickoo-Drabu memorial cricket tournament at MA Stadium, here. While Arun helped PCC to raise a big total with his 76 runs innings, Madan later clinched five wickets for just 13 runs to reduce MGCC to a small total. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, PCC set a big target of 227 runs for five in the allotted 30 overs, which, in reply, MGCC could not chase and bowled out for 116 runs in 27.4 overs. Arun Sharma made 76 runs off mere 51 balls with the help of three sixes and eight boundaries. Balbir Singh and Sunny also played superb cricket contributing 49 (off 35 balls, 2x6, 3x4) and 44 (off 40 balls, 1x6, 5x4) runs respectively. Sunny Choudhary added 31 runs to the total. From MGCC, Adarsh, Kundal, Manik, Shubam, Sahil and Sourab shared one wicket each. Later, chasing a target of over seven-run per over, MGCC lost all their wickets at a score of 116 in 27.4 overs. Sahil remained the top scorer with 34 runs while Sourab and Manik contributed 23 and 18 runs respectively. From PCC, Madan was most successful bowler with five for 13 in six overs. Vicky clinched two for 27 while Arun Sharma, Sunny Singh and Rakesh shared apiece each. For his fine innings, Arun Sharma was adjudged man of the match. Today’s match was officiated by B K Tickoo and Rajinder Singh as umpires while Vijay Raina maintained the score.
