| DDC reviews Baisakhi arrangements | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, APRIL 11 (INFO)-In connection with the Baisakhi Festival the District Development Commissioner, Poonch today convened a meeting of officers to review the arrangements made by the line departments for the smooth conduct of the festival.
Various important decisions were taken to ensure potable water, uninterrupted power supply, parking of vehicles medical arrangements and providing additional tent accommodation for devotees at Dehra Nangali Sahib Shrine etc.
Other issue discussed in the meeting included security arrangements during the festival. It was also informed that various departments like handlooms, handicrafts, agriculture and horticulture will display their products at the festival venue to enhance the celebrations.
MLA, Poonch, Mr Aijaz Ahmad Jan who also attend the meeting suggested that a comprehensive plan be framed to erect permanent nature accommodation for devotees around the shrines of al religious.
Among others Additional Deputy Commissioner, Poonch and President Municipal Committee Poonch were also present in the meeting.
