| Dera Baba Mela gets underway | | | Early Times Report
REASI, APRIL 11 (INFO)- The 3-day historic Dera Baba Mela in memory of Baba Banda Bhadaur started at the ancient shrine situated on the bank of river Chenab in village Dera Baba Banda Bhadaur about 20 km away from Reasi today.
Thousands of devotees of Dera Baba Banda Bhadaur had started reaching at the shrine yesterday from various places of the state and different parts of Punjab, Haryana and Delhi and continuance bhajan and kirtan shall continue upto 13th April, 2009.
Adequate arrangements of security, drinking water, un-interrupted power supply, sanitation, additional deployment of buses, arrangements of essential commodities by the CAPD and medical camp with medicare facilities have already been made by the district administration for the convenience of devotees.
Tehsildar Reasi, Mr. Gandhrav Singh has been appointed as Mela Officer and
Naib Tehsildar Katra would be Magistrate on duty during mela days.
