| 2nd Phase EVM training imparted to about1700 polling staff | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Apr11- In order to ensure smooth conduct of Parliamentary Election-2009 in district Udhampur, to about 1700 presiding and Polling Officers were imparted Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) training by Master Trainers under the supervision of Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) of Udhampur, Chenani and Ramnagar today.
In all, 600 personnel were imparted training at Ramnagar, 441 of Chenani constituency at Agriculture complex, Udhampur and over 600 polling staff of Udhampur segment at Town Hall, Udhampur in the presence of District Nodal Officer for EVM Training, Ch. Pratap Singh.
During the training session, the AROs asked all the trainees to make themselves fully adept in handling of EVM’s with necessary instructions on the spot to the Presiding and Polling officers for the conduct of free and fair polling.
The ARO Ramnagar, Pran Singh has asked all the political parties to ask their ground level workers to desist from pasting posters on private property. In the meanwhile, he has asked SDPO Ramnagar to remove all such posters from the town.
Tehsildars and BDOs concerned were also present on the occasion.
