Early Times Report
Jammu Apr 11- Describing PDP as a party surviving on lies and falsehood, Provincial President J&K National Conference, Jammu province Rattan Lal Gupta in a statement issued here today said that PDP has become habitual of spreading untrue stories to hoodwink people for vested interests. “Though the balloon of their lies was punctured by the Chief Minister – Mr. Omar Abdullah in the Assembly, the party has not learnt a lesson or two and is still continuing its tradition of practice of carrying the false boggy”, he added.
Rattan Lal Gupta, while reacting to a statement made by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed regarding political corruption, said that the PDP leadership has no locus standi to point fingers at others as the party (PDP) has always nurtured defection and awarded the defectors.
Citing the example of Mohammad Rafi Mir and Nizam-ud-Din Khatana, NC Provincial President said that PDP leadership made them defect and inducted them in the Legislative Council as a reward for their defection. “This is a brazen example of political corruption”, he maintained, adding that PDP is neck deep in the practice of luring political workers by offering positions.
Gupta said that in fact PDP workers are deserting this (PDP) party and joining National Conference because they have became fed-up of the deceitful policy of the PDP which is in a habit of playing different cards in the different regions and befooling people. He said the dual behavior of the PDP has become its benchmark and public is now quite aware of these tactics of attempting to grab power.
Gupta further said that National Conference and Congress share common principles of justice, secular belief and amicable approach for ensuring welfare of every citizen irrespective of religion or region. “We do not befool people in the name of religion or region, but in our eyes every citizen is equal and every area is equally important in the development process”, he asserted.
Gupta said that National Conference-Congress coalition is committed to catapult the state’s socio-economic scenario and provide justice to every citizen and create an atmosphere of equitable development for all areas. The blue print of ‘people friendly’ development policy has already been formulated and a gigantic development process has kick-started in the state, he maintained.
