| Final phase of EVM training to poll personnel concludes | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Apr 11- Last and final phase of training in handling of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) was imparted to the Presiding and Polling officers of all Tehsils of the district here today. During the last day today 810 employees of Kalakote, Nowshera and Sunderbani were sensitized about the operation of EVMs. The training was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner, Defense, Rajouri, Mukhtar Ahmad and respective Tehsildars of the district. The training was aimed to give full knowledge about the operation of EVM to the polling personnel to be deployed in different Assembly segments. Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri. S. Jaipal Singh who is also District Election Officer said that, as many as 454 polling stations including 66 auxiliary are being set up in four assembly segments of Rajouri district for an electorate of 3,52,945 including 3084 service voters, of which 1,83,920 are male and 1,69,025 female voters. The Elections for this Parliamentary constituency are scheduled to be held on April 16. The polling stations have been categorized as 96 hypersensitive, 187 sensitive and 171 normal. Out of total polling stations of 454, 22 polling stations are situated near LOC, of which 16 fall in Nowshera and the other 6 in Rajouri Assembly segments. The Polling station 73-Jaglano of Darhal constituency has highest number of voters with 1207 and the polling station 118-Phawalgha has lowest number with 78 voters.
